My first perfume..! Muguet des Bois. Must have been Coty! I was 13 or so. Bought a sample in the mail, somehow. A day dreaming girl, sitting under a tree, wearing this. One of my earliest memories of growing up.

Because of Fragrantica's "this reminds me of" section, I bought Jessica McCLintocks. Love it. The dry down is a bit different from Coty's...from what I remember decades later!! Lol. But it is satisfying my craving for now. Thank you, Gemsense for oil recommendation. I ordered a small vial...just to see if its a Coty match.

The 70s (early 80s at the latest?) natural atomizer version of Coty Muguet des Bois smells as fresh as lily of the valley itself, and in all honesty, the most natural representation of the flower, full stop. I have much experience with the flower, as they bloomed in my backyard growing up and among my earliest memories are its scent: watery, crisp, treading the line between fresh and heady. They would bloom under a pear tree every spring after the jonquils would recede and I would sneak a little to just smell them and marvel.

The development of Muguet des Bois is much like that fresh flower from the time you pluck them to the very last gasps from the withered bells, musky, green, slightly sour, but still very beautiful in their wilting stage. Assuming that this formulation is at least somewhat similar to that of the original in 1941, it isn't any wonder that Roudnitska was so inspired to endeavor his own interpretation through Diorissimo. The perfumer for Coty Muguet des Bois, the legendary Henri Robert, was responsible for Chanel Pour Monsieur, No. 19, and Cristalle, and that comes as absolutely no surprise, as the origins of his mastery for crystalline verdure are evident in Muguet des Bois.

I am happy to have yet another piece of history in the collection, and the bonus is that it is a delight to wear.

I have a similar era Coty Muguet in a small rectangle flat bottle, metallic rectangular gold label, but is Coty Muguet Compose not Coty Muguet des Bois. Not listed on Fragrantica - can this be added? This is obviously a vintage bottle - one that had a stuck stopper I bought on eBay for the bottle alone but managed to pry open. I wasn’t expecting much (an old muguet note in a clear bottle, c’mon) but its actually very lovely. Green and with quite a realistic muguet and hyacinth note. Perfect herald for spring.

wildcardgal

I still have a small spray bottle of this, bought when I was a teen (when dinosaurs roamed the earth) and it still smells lovely, sweet and fresh as newly cut flowers.

mhubbard1961

Classy scent. My Mom was not a perfume person but she liked this. I see it was introduced in 1941 when she was a young woman. Very light as I recall. It evokes a spring day, innocence and hope.

Gemsense

No need to cry about not having this anymore. I bought this in an oil version from thescent4you.com

I love this ❣️ they just don't make them like this anymore. It's so clean and pretty without being old fashioned. I am a bit old fashioned though, Jessica McClintock is one of my absolute all time faves. I just discovered muget de bois and now that I've found this I'll be stashing a big bottle of the perfume oil. This is gorgeous 😍

Autumn_Moon

This is one of my most complimented perfumes (but I'll get to that in a moment).

Muguet des Bois is (to me) hands-down the best, most realistic lily of the valley soliflore ever made. I've tried Diorissimo, Yardley, and a host of others, as I'm *always* looking for a good LOTV. This one fulfills all my expectations.

While the notes list may say otherwise, I experience this as lily of the valley and nothing but lily of the valley, from the green stems and glossy, deep green leaves in the opening to the petite blossoms in the mid-phase. Soft whiffs of the fragrance of those delicate, bell-shaped flowers linger throughout the remainder of the (admittedly brief -- this is an EdC, after all) experience. There is a hint of something spicy towards the drydown, but it's only that -- a hint -- and it's accompanied by gentle wafts of fresh, faint LOTV all the way.

Applying a spritz to clothing helps to boost longevity and sillage, but only slightly. Don't expect this perfume to fill up an enclosed space, as that's not likely to happen under any circumstances. Once it settles down, it seems to dart in and out of view. If it were something you could see, it would be picked up by your peripheral vision. It hangs around, but confines itself to the edges of perception most of the time. It's a gentle, comforting presence which never overwhelms.

To be fair, I do have a personal history with this perfume, which may bias me towards it; my grandmother wore it, and it was one of the first perfumes she ever gave me. (I still have the little glass bottle she presented to me decades ago, even though I used every drop of the perfume; my current bottle of MdB is from the late 1960s/early 1970s, I believe.) As such, I treasure the scent -- it conjures up memories of a time when everything was bright and hopeful, and any given day could turn out to be perfect.

As for the compliments... I once wore this while minding the cash register at a rummage sale. It was unbearably hot, but the fragrance held up well, even in humid, stagnant air. Roughly every third or fourth person who visited said something to the effect of, "Wow, you smell amazing!" No one identified it outright (which isn't terribly surprising, as it's discontinued), but it certainly got its fair share of attention and garnered compliments from total strangers.

It's a shame they don't make this one anymore... I'd use it more often if I had a larger supply!

venussansfurs

May is my birth month and this is my birth flower so I have many fragrances that feature lily of the valley. I have a 1940s vintage of this in EDT. The lily is prominent at the opening but as it develops it gets rather spicy and the sandalwood becomes dominant, mixing with the lingering citrus notes and the florals are more in the background. It's nice but for a truer soliflore scent I prefer the earlier Muguet by François Coty.

Mysticman

One of the first girls I had a crush on back in high school wore this. Smelling it still makes me smile with delightful memories of youthful desire. It's like a breath of fresh air on a beautiful spring morning, with dewy blossoms and the promise of a wonderful day --- and it's not all that innocent either! It's very feminine, but not fussy, and to me it's a timeless classic scent. I'm sad it's no longer available!

taureanrage69

I think I cry every spring because I don't have this anymore. A truer lily of the valley I have never smelled. I like Diorissimo and the others, but there was such a purity to Coty's, so clean and fresh in an uninterrupted sort of way. Unencumbered, poetic, a very rare sort of beauty.

Edit 4/8/19: I couldn't resist, found a gently-used bottle on Ebay and am as happy as I hoped to be! Just as gorgeous as I remember!

Sabretoothkitten

I have a sample of this. It does smell just like lily not the valley in real life, following an initial greenness. But it only lasts a very short time, like the flowers once they have been cut. I keep applying more but it fades. That's OK some things are meant to be fleeting.

Nil3

It's the perfume Demi Moore wears in the movie 'Blind'.
Alec Baldwin compliments her on the scent , telling her that he likes it.

She tells him they don't make it anymore.....:)

This review is for the current formulation.

I love the scent. It's a true to life lily of the valley. It smells just like the flowers we had in our yard, and at my grandma's house, when I was growing up. It reminds me of a sunny spring day in my childhood backyard with lilacs in the air, too. But it has almost no staying power. I smell a faint scent of it on my wrist a few hours after spraying. But I have to smell my wrist and clothes up close to detect it, after only about 30 minutes after spraying. It is very weak.

This is one of my favorite colognes because it doesn't have any chemical or synthetic smell. It's as close to a real flower as I've found in a perfume. The lovely scent just doesn't last and isn't strong enough. I was lucky to get two bottles before the price started going up. One of my bottles fell and the lid cracked, but I didn't lose any of the liquid. Last I checked, it was discontinued and getting harder to find. The site I bought mine from charged $11, and someone is now selling it for $120. I saw it on eBay for about $40.

gtabasso

A lovely, green, sweet, true LOTV but the modern version does not last. It is like a cheap cologne.

Sherihan

I have a cologne bottle, looks like from early 90's, because it has a barcode, but no Green Dot on the box. It reminds me a lot of how I was smelling Diorissiomo when I was a child. Lily of The Valley is innocent and super DUPER, as you may think it is childish, but no, I detect a sexy Kitten hiding and bathing inside the bottle. Is it a Souliflore? Well technically no, but even if I dig my nose in it, I only got mesmerized with the Lilly of the Vally that I worship.

Mando

I love the smell of old lady perfumes.

Jacquelyn1

I wore this back in the 60's. It was my favorite. I can still smell it in my memory. This is the standard all Lily of the valley should be measured by imho. Coty captured it perfectly. I am not typically drawn to florals now, but I wish I had a bottle of this for the nostalgia of my youth.

pammbw

I got a small vintage bottle of this- it says "spray mist" on the bottle, at a thrift store. After the initial blast of aldehydes(I am not a fan of aldehydes, they just smell like alcohol to me) this smelled exactly like a bouquet of lily of the valley. I have a large patch of the flower in my yard and cut them in the spring and put them in bud vases in my house. That wonderful aroma goes everywhere! This perfume is true to nature. The bottle I got was probably 40-50 years old judging by the lettering and bottle design, and did not seem to have lost any potency or accuracy of scent. It is a strong perfume, a little goes a long way.

stacia79

I chose to celebrate early spring with a vintage floral gifted to me by a dear perfume loving friend. Coty launched Muguet de Bois in the 1940s and it has remained a best seller for decades. It is a true soliflore, very green and fresh. However, it does come from an era where women wanted their perfumes to be noticed. And this was noticed, but in the best way! Three different people commented on the lovely lily of the valley aroma in the office as they approached my work area. One woman even looked around for a vase of flowers, that is how realistic Muguet de Bois smells. Like a wet garden on a warm morning in May. And who in the world is going to complain about the smell of a real flower garden?

Fragrance Review For Muguet Des Bois By Coty

Are you a lily of the valley girl raise your hand lol This is a fresh sweet green and white lily perfume. This may not be at the level of Diorissimo which is the queen of all lily of the valley fragrances but this is not bad. It is definitely a green scent with dominant lily of the valley. The other flowers are providing it with a floral sweetness that I tend to go for in perfume and they include authentic jasmine, lilac and rose. Very floral. If you don't like flowers don't read any further. This is a simple floral scent that smells very good not only on myself but in my house as an air freshner. However it is in no way artificial or synthetic. Definitely a perfume with vintage style ingredients. That sandalwood is doing it's magic and filling my head with it's fragrant aroma. I love how this turns into pure sandalwood at the very end. It starts fresh with citrus, then turns floral with lily of the valley leading the way for jasmine and rose and then it's a musky kind of sandalwood combination. Beautiful, elegant, mature, but subtle, not a heavy hitter at all. Totally wearable for any season any occasion. Perfect to spritz on after a shower too and for relaxation at home before bed.

joliecat

What a pretty, feminine perfume! I found a vintage formula and it's refreshing, soft, a little bit soapy, with a light crisp green touch. It doesn't smell vintage. It smells exactly like fresh lilies of the valley blooming! It's the truest lily of the valley scent ever !
Great to use in warm or hot weather, as a fresh uplifting, cooling floral. Stays close to skin, it's subtle, but a light breeze will cause it to waft into the air around you. Perfect to wear in an office, since it's ladylike and not offensive at all.
Lasting power isn't good, but if I first use a tiny thin layer of Vaseline on skin, then spray this perfume over it, this beautiful scent lasts about 6 hours on my skin. Also great for spraying linens to create a crisp clean fresh natural lily of the valley scent in any room. It really does smell like natural fresh cut real flowers, not synthetic room spray.
Coty Muguet Bois in vintage form is truly a beautiful natural floral breath of fresh air.

Before I developed advanced enough skills as a perfumer in synthetics I set out to find a lily of the valley perfume that actually smelled like the live flower. In my search I found so many the beard no resemblance to the actual flower at all. I just happen to love the smell and while I pay no attention as to what is for men and what is for women, I do find this to be the only flower that is more feminine, whereas all the rest are to me, very unisex. Still, I wear this perfume, as well as my own lily of the valley perfume, both of which, I believe really do smell quite identically to the living flower as I have compared the both side by side with freshly picked lily of the valley. Perhaps some of you know that lily of the valley along with lilac just do not yield any sort of usable absolute or pomade, so all lilac and lily of the valley notes have to be built using either a combination of naturals and synthetics or purely synthetics. Using only naturals it cannot yet be done. I remember the first primary lily of the valley perfume I came across was Diorissimo, that at first really smelled like lily of the valley to me but then after a while it started to smell less and less like lily of the valley and more and more like other things. As you all know, this is a very inexpensive drug store perfume but when it comes to lily of the valley it is all synthetic anyway, so no matter who makes it we are all going to be composing it using the same chemicals. Like I said, Coty is right on the money here, it is a dead ringer for the live flower. It goes on smelling fresh, sweet, powdery and green, just like the fresh flower and that is how it smells until you wake up the next morning. It is a perfume that does tend to hover quite close to your skin so you and anyone in your close proximity will smell it but not someone across the table or on the other side of your desk. And if you put it on the in the morning, or before going out in the evening, it will not need to be applied again. It seems to last 4-5 hours but it is so inexpensive, if you want to touch it up with a couple more sprays, most of us can afford it. So if you are out for a great lily of the valley just go to the drug store and get this, forget about the expensive ones because this one is perfect for what it is.

I got a bottle of Muguet des Bois in a lot of vintage Coty fragrances. I didn't know anything about it, just took the cap off of the bottle and took a small whiff. WHEW! It smelled exactly like, well... beer. I put a little bit on my hand and waited for the alcoholic fumes to fade. Has it gone bad, maybe? To be honest, after wearing it a few times, I still don't know.

What I smell on my skin is very green, ozonic/airy, a bit floral... but hardly detectable. I'm not terribly familiar with Lily of the Valley, but I do smell lilac. I guess that does make it a realistic floral scent, very green with poor projection. Based on other reviews I've read, what I'm smelling is likely legit - but in my opinion, it doesn't match the typical quality of Coty fragrances. I don't know what to make of this one. It's just so strange!

MadeiraD

Watery soft sweet gentle lily of the valley, extremely fresh. It doesn't last worth a damn but it smells so lovely and springy I just can't resist spritzing it everywhere during this cold cold horrid winter.

I get lilac and lily of the valley and wonderful green notes

Lucky7z

My mom used to wear this back in the day and in middle school I got hooked on it....I love the scent of lily of the valley and this perfume IMO was the truest scent to the flower! I have never found anything liked this again,I miss it so much! I beyind adored this perfume!!!!!! <3

Fhaldara

I just bought a vintage bottle of this - smells just as I remember it, fresh, green, and spring flowers. Lily of the Valley is my favorite flower, and it predominates this fragrance, but I can also find the lilac after a moment (lilac is a close 2nd favorite) with a bit of citrus (orange?) and green notes which keep it fresh, sweet but never cloying. I agree with everyone who says it doesn't last long though, doesn't stay with me either, but I still love it!
I just read in a review for another muguet perfume that the legendary Edmond Roudnitska considered Muguet de Bois to be the 'truest' L.O.V. scent - proves once again that the best does not have to be the most expensive.

Museumgal

Vintage, late 60's-early 70's -- I can't think of a more quintessential lily of the valley scent. Just like fresh picked flowers, not overly green and harsh and sharp like some LOTV scents but slightly sweet as the flower is in nature. Backed up by a gentle lilac, buoyed up by some green notes -- but the green ones aren't overwhelming they just increase the projection of the scent. Smells like spring, crisp sweet and green.

zzMaja

I have not used this one for quite some time so I am going by memory and I used to love it. It is definitely lily of the valley. I am going to try it again. Very nostalgic scent that takes me back to being a teenager when my mother, my grandmother and I wore it. Something that was that popular to so many generations deserves another try.

lanuitblanche

I really wanted to love this one. I have a vintage circa 80's, and maybe it's gone bad? It smells like foaming soap. More than just soapy.... It smells like it IS soap. And sickly sweet. I adore and wear vintage Diorissimo... I am disappointed by Muguet de Bois. :-(

Yah-el

I love this fragrance. It does smell exactly like lilies of the valley. The only thing I wish is that it would last longer. I spray it on several times during the day to keep the fragrance alive. Love it -- a breath of fresh, sweet lilies of the valley.

Mimielle

I love this as a linen & towel spray and to use a little on starched white blouses, just a touch. I love the flowers themselves and I love this. It's not the best scent for me to spray directly on my skin. Perusing the fragrances here has made me think of a few from my early years that I should pick up again in 2014 and this is one of them.

ritaramirezz

I miss this scent. Smells like my favorite flower, lily of the valley. Too light of a scent for fall or winter, but perfect for a hot sticky summer night. I notice the humidity makes the scent last longer.

MsDana

I love to wear the classic perfumes on occasion & after recently purchasing & enjoying Coty L'Origan, I decided to try this one out as well & I am very impressed. It is one of the best Lilly of the Valley scents I have ever smelt. It is soft, fresh, clean & lovely. I like it very much.

Ben's Aldehyde

My mom has an old bottle of this stuff, which she might have inherited from her mother, so this review is for some pretty old juice:

When I first put it on, it smells terrible, like rancid hairspray. But after it dries it smells remarkably like the lilies-of-the-valley growing in our backyard.

From time to time, a stray note of one kind or another juts out and distracts from the realism. But it is realistic. Often, I could be fooled into thinking I'm smelling the live flower.

This isn't a perfume identifying itself as lily-of-the-valley by name but not by smell. The name means what it says. Alas, it fades within about two hours on my skin, leaving a hint of burnt hair and generic sweetness behind. Still, while it lasts, it's impressive.

frugalwitch

I live (and grew up in) a very small town. This Coty fragrance was totally unknown to me until recently. Lily of the Valley is my absolute favorite flower of all time and I had doubted anyone could capture the scent of the real thing.
This arrived in my mail today and I felt weak in the knees when I sniffed it. It is glorious! I feel so clean, fresh, and feminine wearing this. A new love that is going into my top 5 favorites.

Libra_Witch

This was my absolute FAVORITE perfume as a teen. It was hard to find but I remember using my birthday money to buy it. Lily of the Valley are also my favorite flowers. I think I'm going to try and find a vintage bottle and keep it for special occasions. I sure do miss it.

Odalisque

I will always love this fresh, clean lily-of-the-valley scent. It was my first gift of cologne, given by my grandparents for Christmas when I was twelve. Coty's Muguet de Bois always smells like hope and girlish daydreams to me now, and it never fails to make me smile.

maryellen125

This is the first perfume I ever wore. Heavily advertised in teen magazines in early 70's. I saved my money and bought some at the drug store. I loved how simple and pretty it was. Innocent and nice, like the 12 year-old I was. Then my older cousin smelled it, and said, "You can do better than this" and got me a bottle of Charlie for Christmas. I felt sad, like I wasn't cool enough. I like more sophisticated fragrances now, but I still have lily-of-the-valley in my garden.

TruthserumX

I was a little scared of getting this perfume. It was a blind buy on ebay. The reviews had me thinking that this would be a grandma smell. ITS NOT! Yeah! I'm not sure what the exact smell of lily-of-the valley is, but I think of water lily when I smell this. Its fresh, clean and lily. I like it and it wasn't that expensive.

jackii

Muguet de Bois, meaning in english 'Lily of the Valley'. That's exactly what it is - Coty's beautiful classic Lily of the Valley fragrance. It's been around since 1941 and still smells lovely. I remember my grandmother's bottle of Coty's L'Origan (created in 1905)she kept on the shelf in her bathroom. I would always sneak a spray or two on. Timeless, timeless classics that are still going strong.

theloveofperfumeismine

this is timeless

lovingthealien

Incredibly synthetic - like the smell of pool floats and citronella candles in the opening, it becomes a little softer, imitating a familiar sunscreen. This is the scent of all sorts of plastics folded into the shape of a muguet. Weird. I'm sure it used to be good.

Review for the current(?) Eau de toilette.

erding

Quite sythetic at the opending, but as it drys down I feel in love with it. peaceful and innocent scent.lily in the valley, yes.

ivyheel

This is the most realistic lily of the valley I have ever sampled. It's a simple, straight-forward scent. Quite pleasant and very clean, crisp, and fresh. I can't imagine that this could offend anyone. I like it but I do not think it is very memorable.

pygar2000

This is my Mother's scent. She has worn this literally all of her life. She just turned 87. It is just lovely and fresh. The only other scent she wore was (I believe) something called Blue Carnation or at least a carnation scent.

drugstore classics

Paulie 86, you said it! The classic Coty's smell GOOD, and if that is a quality of Old scents, may all mine be Old! ( Come to think of it, most of my favorites ARE. ) I bought Muguet De Bois from Overstock.com this spring, and it proved one of my best blind buys. The opening seems a little lime and most refreshing; other than that all I smell is REAL lily of the valley. If you want a more complex and grounded lily scent, you might choose Jessica Mcclintock, my other terrific blind buy this spring. To be honest, I'm not a greens and lilies kind of girl, but they never fail to appeal to me on someone else. This is just - plain - old - delightful.

JasmineLilac

I tried the Coty muguet because Diorissimo's creator said that Coty's muguet was the truest lily of the valley. Thus, I expected Coty's muguet to be a lot like Diorissimo.

To me, they do not smell alike. Coty is subdued and sweet; while, Diorissimo is tangy-sweet and not so subdued.

I like Diorissimo better, though I like Coty too. They're just apples vs. oranges (in my book).

pfcs

This was popular with young girls when I was in high school, and was a very pleasant scent. I prefer stronger, more oriental, types, but I never met a Coty fragrance I didn't like.

VintagePro

Very green and pure Lily of the Valley. I don't detect a hint of anything else. It has a very sharp, pungent quality at the beginning, but it softens very nicely after a few minutes. Very lovely. Just wish it had a more sillage and staying power.

Fonna

My father use to grow lily of the valley in our garden in the backyard. I was small enough to get a good whiff of them just by standing over them and I use to hover around that area just to smell them.
It's a beautiful fragrance.
Pure lilly of the valley. Very heady fragrance, like you want to fall asleep them like I always wanted to, but dad would have gotten mad if I did that, I'm sure.

zosoroxy

1/16/2012: Coty's Muguet de Bois (new EdT)- Bright, beautiful, sparkling LOTV- Credited by Roudnitska (Diorissimo's creator) as the best LOTV ever... But scent disappates (disappears!) only minutes after application. Wore this as a teenager, now it's back & can be purchased for $10-$12/bottle. I love it, & purchased a few bottles to liberally spritz bed linens, hair, whatever.

jasmasid

I managed to find a vintage bottle of this (probably dating from the late 60s or even early 70s) and it's absolutely magnificent. But I think I will save it for spring/summer as that's when Lily of the Valley smells best for me.
I must point out that this is not in the league of Diorissimo (which has to be the ultimate scent in this category of floral) but is much less sparkling and less nuanced being a much more straightforward "Muguet" with overtones of green.
But, given the price difference between this one and Dior's masterpiece, who's complaining?

johngreenink

I found a bottle of this at an estate sale about a year ago - it was from 1995 and nearly full. The scent is really beguiling, I have to say. Definitely full-on Lily of the Valley, and a bit of green behind it. I also detect some spices; like a hint of cardamon or rosemary. The sandalwood is strong at the end, but pleasant. I don't see this so much as a floral, but more of an aldehyde fragrance. You can detect a BIT of rose, but more like rose from potpouri, not fresh roses.

I don't have many uses for this (much too sweet for a male, I think), but enjoy smelling it now and again, and put a few drops here and there to make the place smell nice. I have a feeling my 16-year-old bottle is probably a less contrived formulation than what is available right now, so I'll hold on to it.

glitteralex

Somehow a small parfum spray, likely 1980s, appeared on my desk. No cap, dark color, a certain victim of oxidation. I expected the worst...but, despite this, it manages to be absolutely delightful! The alcohol takes a minute or so to blow off, and there is certainly a "boozy" quality thanks to the oxidation, but I still enjoy this deep rosy lily on a velvet background of green woods. I give this bottle in particular a 3 or 4/10, and I am still managing to enjoy it, so now I'm on the hunt for other vintages in better condition.

Radchick

I had this as a young girl and it smelled exactly like lily of the valley. Very fresh and girly. The bottle was opaque green and beautifully matched the lovely scent. I have not tried the reformulation. I prefer to remember it the way it was.

viewdemonde

An absolute classic for any occasion. Goes with furs. Goes with jeans.

bogsc

It's sad that for many the only experience they have had with this once lovely scent is the recent and truly vile flacon mist version, which smells like a combination of paint thinner and hair permanent solution until dry down. I just tossed the 2 horrid bottles of flacon mist I mistakenly purchased on e-bay. I now possess a true vintage bottle of EdT, which smells exactly as I remember it from my high school years. Soft, sweet and innocent.

chaos2

I had the original as a teenager. Mom got it for me and at first I didn't like it but it grew on me. Very light, green and sweet. The bottle was nice, shaped like a bell.

Kiku

Once again Coty turns one of it's great perfumes into a knock off of itself. The original had that depth and richness of scent so typical of Coty. It was sweet and fresh, just lovely. The reformulation is cheap and unsubtle . It doesn't even smell like lilies of the valley anymore.

sunshineandroses

I had this as a teenager. It does smell like Lily of the Valley. My grandmother liked it too . It don't
think I would wear it now but it has sentimental value . I would like to smell it again just for that reason.

sherapop

How bad can a reformulation be? Coty MUGUET DES BOIS offers a clear answer to that question: Very.

I wasn't expecting much from a bottle which cost nearly nothing, but I must say that, to my nose, this vile liquid smells like paint thinner.

rachellkimb

I heard such great things about this. maybe I didn't know what lily of the valley smelled like, I don't know. But to me, it smelled like freshly cut grass. It's not something I want to smell like.

pansylady

My first cologne- sweet and as innocent as a little girl getting on First Communion Day...

Chatnoir

A nice lily-of-the valley without the sharp green notes of my other lily-of-the valley by Caswell Massey. This is sweet without being cloying.

Coriander

At the top to the base, much style in this fresh Lily of the valley.

It´s a delicate and subtle fragrance, however full of personality.

barbiot35

It' s sooo fresh and can be used at any season but it doesn't stay for a long time on the skin:(
