Sunny Frutti by Escada is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. Sunny Frutti was launched in 1998. The nose behind this fragrance is Dorothée Piot. Top notes are Banana, Pear, Pineapple, Lemon, Black Currant, Osmanthus and False Jasmine; middle notes are Freesia, Apricot, Cyclamen, Jasmine, Lily-of-the-Valley, Rose and Orris Root; base notes are Cedar, Vanilla, Musk and Oakmoss.

Sun and fruits in small package, that really sounds perfect! Sunny Fruit Escada, introduced in 1998 as floral fruity cocktail in its limited edition for that season. Top notes offer us real fruit salad made of creamy scents of banana, pine-apple, shiny lemon, pear, currant, gently spiced with nutmeg. The heart is dressed in floral attire, yields with intense notes of freesia, osmanthus, lily-of-the-valley, jasmine, seductive lady-rose, cyclamen, together with juicy scents of peach, spiced with earthy notes of orris root; which leads to moss, cedar, vanilla and musk in the base. The designer of the bottle is Bernard Kotyuk.

My favorite fruit cocktail scented perfume. Gives a very tropical vibe without the usual coconut note which makes this truly refreshing.
Relaunch please!

I'm surprised not many people have noticed the florals. Cyclamen and lily of the valley are bursting out on my skin and very prominent. I guess most people wouldn't have smelled these notes in isolation before, so it might just not be identifiable. In any case these notes are likely synthetic and causing the strange 'cheap' quality. Sunny Frutti is an interesting and pleasant enough scent, but probably not something I'd wear much.

This is not as sweet as I was expecting and is actually a relatively green fragrance. It is nice and can see this being a skin scent for someone. I imagine a young blonde woman dressed in white linen clothing sunbathing in the early summer sun. I was kind of hoping for a creamy banana and vegetal scent, but this smells a lot like the green aspects of bananas, when they aren't fully ripe yet. Very realistic pear fragrance as well. I can almost feel the dimply skin when I smell this.

Very nice and wayyyyyy different from the Escada offerings today. It is a soft green and lightly tropical scent. Pretty. :)

I had this wonderful perfume, and I would love to buy a bottle of it again

I have a strange relationship with this one. I bought it with high hopes, and when it arrived I sprayed a little into the cap to get an idea, with the intention to spray some on me after my shower. I didn't like what I smelled in the cap (though admittedly the cap is metal).

Took my shower, sprayed the perfume on me, it didn't get better. I immediately got a very alcoholic, synthetic smell. But the dry-down is absolutely gorgeous! Very very strong pear note, a little banana to go along. I still find it a bit strange. Another reviewer said that as the perfume is old, it doesn't smell like it did back in '98. Maybe that's why. At times I get the gorgeous smell, at other times I still get the synthetic.

Later edit: Oh gods this is deep! I love it! I can see why it is so highly praised! YAY!

Two Tragedies:
1. Calling 80's-90's fragrances "vintage".
Those who grew up in the 80s-90s must feel aged.

2. The discontinuation of Escada jewels from the 1990s.

This was one such jewel.
A delectable, edible jewel.
It was my favourite fruit cocktail in spray form.
It was a youthful summer vacation on a tropical holiday, wearing nothing but Sunny Frutti and a lemon yellow sun dress.

What joy.

I agree with Joan100... Lately all the Escada releases smell like they're made from the same template. They just tweak notes here and there but it's the same synthetic (and overpriced) crap.

This was a real fruity fragrance. Beautiful, lots of depth. I wish Escada would go back to making scents like this.

Please contact me if you have a bottle that you want to sell. :D

Miss it so much! <3

This fragrance defines a well made fruity floral. It still bothers me that ESCADA had to deviate away from creating bespoke, classy, complex and truly beautiful fragrances such as this to watered down, ultra sugary concoctions. Their summer edition fragrances for the past 12 years have been smelling far too similar to each other after each release. The last truly wonderful fragrance was Tropical Punch. Nothing beats old school ESCADA for sure!

Beautiful, unique, summer. Love, love, love. Creamy banana fruitiness, a touch of sharp floral, and soapy clean musk. Odd sounding but magically mixed. Not like todays typical pure fruit scents. I bought a barely used 1oz bottle for $14.50 off Ebay. Soooo glad I did, truly a favorite of mine :).

Try Mademoiselle Amour-it smells like Sunny Frutti. I just discovered it today. Sunny Frutti was always my fav and I always got so many compliments on it. I also loved Marc Jacobs Pear and that was also a on season scent that was discontinued.

wrong mixture of fruits & flowers that ended tragically....smells kindda cheap & low class
notes are NOT blending with each others
horrible!!!

This was best of the best from summer fragrance line from Escada. I still miss it! I hope they bring it back! Very fruity and sweet. I use it three bottles.

Sadly, I have to agree with the "hairspray " comment. Try as I might, I can't love this. It was an impulse buy whilst on holidays. It smelt great in the shop...not so great now. Could be that my body chemistry is changing. Shame, as Escada Jardin de Soleil has such wonderful memories (my honeymoon scent) and I was so sure this would be forever associated with my upcoming overseas summer holiday. I'll try to layer it with something sweeter, and see if it improves. Funny because I adore pear scents, but this one not so much... I'll give it a few chances, but its not looking good.
Tried to like it, again tried yesterday...no fruit note coming through...sad, because I adore pear. Just bitterness and oakmoss/freesia notes on me...
If anyone is interested in my barely used bottle, 50ml, please msg me

One of my favourites from the Escada limited editions to date. Absolutely gorgeous, fresh, fruity and clean. Everyone always asked me what I was wearing.

Sadly, their latest offerings leave much to be desired ... cannot stand them at all :o(

I really miss Sunny Frutti and would love to find an identical fragrance that does not smell like a fruit salad!

Note : to those who've recently sampled this and found it horrible, it's just old! I took the chance and ordered a sealed bottle from eBay, looked perfectly genuine but very faded. This fragrance was not designed to age well so whatever is available now will not smell like it should. It's a shame eh?

Natalia78

The only summer fragrance that brings back idyllic childhood memories and scents. Also, the only fragrance I have ever tested with such prevalent pear note. I tried Ciel d'Airain by Huitieme Art for comparison and, although the makeup of the latter is completely non-related, I'd chose Escada for the act of capturing and preserving the capricious pear note in a truly masterful way.

As mentioned by my predecessors - the best and most unique creation from Escada to date.

AveParfum

Sunny Frutti was my signature perfume until it was discontinued, one of the best fragrances Escada ever released. I agree that most of their fragrances for the past few years have been very cheap smelling, bland, and too young. Sunny Frutti was all about pear. It was sweet and bright, and it lasted forever on my skin, unlike the sickly watery fruity scents today. Totally and completely unique and never-to-be-duplicated in history. I miss it!

Dark Curls

Awful on my skin. It smells exactly like hairspray. Great, I have a full bottle and lotion I do not like at all.

Malegria

This is one of the few Escadas that I have respect for. It smells youthful, but not childish, and I love the freesia note here that usually is so difficult to duplicate.I see a slender girl, with a serious gentle face, smart and sensiive. It also has a good staying power and lingers for a while.
