Figue Amere was inspired by Lyn Harris’ trip to Ibiza, by the scent of bitter, ripe, green figs and the astringent, salty Mediterranean air. The “amere” part of the name, in our opinion, refers not so much to bitterness as to the complete lack of ubiquitous coconut-like sweetness, which is typical of so many fig scents. Figue Amеre is lusciously-green, a little dry, attractively woody. The warm base of amber rounds the composition, adding a soft, enveloping aspect to the fragrance. Dry and soft, fresh and warm, Figue Amеre is one of the most sophisticated fig scents we had a pleasure to encounter. This gorgeous, joyful fragrance makes us long for the warm sea and the endless blue sky, for a summer spent in an elegant white villa surrounded by the lusciously green trees…lounging in the sun, eating figs, sipping cocktails, doing absolutely nothing…
